BearsIllustrated Draft Projections Rd. 2-7

BearsIllustrated.com takes a look at the NFL Draft rounds 2-7 and makes its projections.

Other than sure-fire 1st round selections quarterback Robert Griffin III and wide receiver Kendall Wright, Baylor will have at least two other players drafted in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft. BearsIllustrated.com makes its projections on where the Baylor players will get drafted:

3rd Round-87th Overall-Denver Broncos-Terrance Ganaway, RB, Baylor

Terrance Ganaway will be a solid addition to the Denver Broncos in the late 3rd round. We thought about dropping him Ganaway down into the early 4th round, but we feel that the Broncos want a solid runner to bring into the mix with Peyton Manning now at quarterback. The Broncos are a good fit, and former Baylor Bears center J.D. Walton is the starting center for the Broncos as well.

5th Round-152nd Overall-Dallas Cowboys-Philip Blake, C, Baylor

It is no secret that the Dallas Cowboys are in need of some help up front. Blake is probably the 2nd best center in this year's draft, but we get the feeling that Blake may drop a round later than we initially thought. The Cowboys have shown interest, and Blake would be the perfect fit.

7th Round-233rd Overall-Houston Texans-Robert T. Griffin-OL-Baylor

The "other" Robert Griffin on the Baylor Bears roster was a beast on the offensive line when he wasn't dinged up. Injuries are the only real concern with Griffin in our opinion, and they are not enough of a question mark to keep the Texans from getting an absolute steal in the 7th round. Robert T. Griffin projects to be a guard on the next level.
