Miller told Yahoo: "I apologize if I excited too many people, but I feel like this is the best move for me. I love Baylor so much. I love the campus. I love the university. I love everything about Baylor. But I think for myself right now this was best for me."
In confirming the report, Coach Drew told CBS that Miller "thought it was best for him and his family."
While losing Miller is a difficult blow to Baylor's lineup for next season, Coach Drew is comforted in the fact that he has a top 5 signing class nationally coming in along with returning several key pieces from the Elite 8 run last year. There's no question though that the loss of Miller's blend of skill and athleticism leaves a hole that will have to be filled by some of Baylor's untested, or relatively inexperienced pieces.
Miller left a parting shot on Twitter for Baylor fans: "Once a Bear, Always a Bear!" And the Baylor fans undoubtedly echo that sentiment and wish him well in the NBA.
