Player Spotlight—Pat Colbert
We call him "Big" Pat Colbert around here. Standing 6'6" and weighing in at 290 pounds, Colbert red-shirted last season as a freshman. The Kilgore High School product was a Scout.com 3-star player and was ranked the 104th-best offensive tackle in the country. He chose Baylor over offers from SMU and Houston.
Projection: Colbert will definitely be in the mix for the Bears this season on the offensive line. Coming out of high school, Colbert played at both right tackle and left tackle. However, the 2012 season for Baylor may see Colbert playing as a reserve lineman up and down the offensive line for the Bears. He is an incredibly strong player with good technique coming out of high school. He has added strength to a huge frame, and will continue to get better. His best days are ahead of him, but he will have a chance to contribute this season.
