2016 RB Talks Baylor Camp

We caught up with 2016 RB, Kameron Martin to talk about his experience at Baylor's football camp this afternoon. Come inside to hear the latest on this top 2016 recruit.

In what looks to be a busy summer for Kameron Martin, BearsIllustrated caught up with the 5'10, 165 lb RB from Port Arthur Memorial to talk about his first camp experience.

"I had a great time at the camp. When I walked through the gate, Coach Buckles got excited and started introducing me to everyone," Martin said. "When I met Coach (Art) Briles, he even knew who I was. That made me feel real good!"

The young RB made it a point to say that he wanted to "show out" at the camp. Did he accomplish this? "I worked with Coach Lebby, the running backs coach, and he really liked me. He talked a lot about my speed and explosiveness. He (Coach Lebby) gave me and another kid a majority of the reps." And when asked if he could see an offer coming soon, the speedy RB said, "the coaches said that I should be expecting one real soon."

The 2016 recruit only sports one offer at the moment, from Akron; however, Martin knows that he could see a spike in offers soon. And while he doesn't have any favorites, he does state that two schools stand out the most right now. "Right now Texas Tech and Baylor are showing the most love. I talk to coaches from Tech and Baylor every week," Martin said. "I recently started talking to Texas A&M too. I don't know much about them, but I like the swagger coming from their football program, so I'm going to their camp tomorrow (Sunday) to see what they are all about."

We will keep in touch with Kameron as he goes through the summer camp season. Check back periodically for all updates on this Top 2016 recruit!
