Case Closed! Recruits React to Big 12 Title

After a historic win in Floyd Casey Stadium, this past Saturday, BearsIllustrated caught up with several top recruits to get their thoughts on the newly crowned Big 12 Champs and the closing of Floyd Casey Stadium.

Saturday was a historic day in the history of Baylor football. After suffering through several years of jokes, empty stadiums, blow outs, and everything in between, the Baylor Bears arrived in the spotlight.

The Bears beat the Texas Longhorns to claim their first Big 12 Championship, in front of a stadium record 51,782 fans. Not only was it a culmination of the hard work put in by Coach Briles, his staff, and the student athletes that wore the uniform, it was a fitting way to close out Floyd Casey Stadium, and a great way to lead in to a new era of Baylor football.

Taking in the win were several 2014 commitments and several top 2015 recruits. As one recruit said, "Well I wasn't able to make it for the game but it looked exciting. I'm happy for The university and the program. Especially Coach Briles. He deserves it, you can't help but want to win for a guy like that."

We have several more reactions inside our member board. Come inside and join in on the excitement behind the conference championship, and read what other recruits had to say about the win. It is a new era of Baylor football, and the championship defense will begin in the brand new Baylor Stadium in 2014.
