Baylor Picks Up 2015 JuCo Offensive Lineman

OL Maurice Porter committed to Baylor today once again after a JuCo hiatus.

On Friday, Navarro College (TX) offensive lineman Maurice Porter committed to join Baylor's 2015 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound Porter was listed as the 24th overall offensive guard prospect in 2013 coming out of Marshall High School in Missouri City (TX). While he was listed as a guard coming out of college, some have speculated that Porter may have the size to switch to offensive tackle when he arrives at Baylor.

Porter originally signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Baylor during the 2013 recruiting class, but failed to qualify academically and double-signed at Navarro. He also was committed to Tech for a short while before.

Porter joins Temple (TX) ATH Chad President, Troup (TX) ATH Blake Lynch and Waco Midway (TX) WR Devonte Stricklin in Baylor's 2015 recruiting class. The timing of his commitment could not have come at a better time, as Huntsville (TX) OT Ronnie Major flipped from Baylor to Texas last week.
