What's Next For Baylor?

With the Bears sitting at 6 commitments, where will the next domino fall? BearsIllustrated takes a look at who is left, and who might be the next to pull the trigger for the Bears.

With the Bears picking up their 6th commitment over the weekend, BearsIllustrated takes a look at the recruits that could pull the trigger for the Bears in the next couple of months. Could we see any of them make the call during Baylor's annual Spring Game?

RECRUITS THAT COULD PULL THE TRIGGER ANY TIME

After the last Junior Day, word began to spread that John Humphrey would be pulling the trigger and announcing his commitment to Baylor. One thing that was left to be done was a trip to home and a discussion with his parents. After a discussion with his parents, John decided to hold off on announcing his commitment. This should not worry Baylor fans, as John has Baylor at the top of his list.

Humphrey is a sub 4.4 guy and is being recruited by Baylor as an athlete, although, most believe he will end up at CB for Coach Phil Bennett. At 6'0, 165 lbs, the League City (TX) Clear Falls HS prospect would provide speed in the defensive backfield that CPB has not had in a while. Humphrey will be attending Baylor's Spring Game.

Houston commitment, Jordan Tolbert, is a recruit that has been to Baylor about 3 times now. He has kept no secrets about being open to other schools, and his interest in Baylor has been very noticeable. The 5'11, 160 lb CB has the size that Coach Phil Bennett looks for in a DB.

Jordan will be in attendance on Saturday, and one thing that could help with him choosing Baylor is his relationship with John Humphrey. When BearsIllustrated spoke to Jordan last, he mentioned that he and John had talked about playing together. These two will certainly be ones to watch this weekend and heading in to the summer.

The defensive line has been very well stocked over the past few years, and the defensive coaching staff has found their next superstar. Darrion Daniels, a 6'4, 275 lb DT out of Dallas (TX) Bishop Dunne HS, is currently ranked the #14 DT in the class of 2015 and has offers from everyone. Getting Daniels on campus would be a huge coup for Coach Phil Bennett and his defensive staff, but the interest has been reciprocated by Daniels. Daniels has been on campus a few times, and made the trip down to watch practice this past weekend. With the Spring Game coming up, Daniels should be in attendance. He could certainly be one to watch and we close in on the summer.

James Lockhart, is also another prospect that could choose for the Bears soon. Lockhart has been at the top of the Bears recruiting list for some time now, and the Bears coaching staff has done a great job recruiting him. Lockhart was considered a Baylor lean at the beginning of the year, but has slowed down the recruiting process. Many still believe this is Baylor's race to lose, but Baylor will have to continue to target the 4 star LB out of Ennis (TX) HS.

BearsIllustrated will continue to monitor these and other Baylor prospects as we head in to the summer circuit. The prospects listed above are a few of the several top prospects that have Baylor at the top of their list. In Part III of our recruiting update, we will look at those top prospects that are very high on Baylor but may not be making their decision for another few months.
