Big 12 Conference - One True Champion

July 1st is the beginning of the conference year for the Big 12, and with it came the announcement of a new logo and new brand for the Big 12.

Tuesday afternoon, the Big 12 unveiled its new logo and branding message for the 2014 school year. The message is "One True Champion", highlighted by the fact that the Big 12 is the only power conference to have a round-robin schedule. Every team will play every team, there will be no lopsided schedules, or missing out on the other divisions best team. You get a chance to play and beat every team the Big 12 has to offer.

The Big 12 has created a "One True Champion" microsite at, reinforcing the message that the Big 12 decides its champion in the most fair way possible.

Each team will have their own color scheme of the logo, a new branding plan to bring each school into the logo. "Today marks an exciting day for the future of the Big 12 and its member institutions," commented Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby. "The Conference is proud to launch a new logo that integrates the league's iconic heritage with a progressive new look."

The new logo is the most visible part of the introduction of a complete set of identity standards that will be used throughout the Big 12 at each of its member institutions. A re-designed website at has also debuted, containing information on each of the league's 10 member institutions and all of the conference's 23 nationally-competitive sports. The site garners some of the highest traffic numbers in the collegiate space, with over 21 million page views in just the past year. The website is maintained via a partnership with NeuLion, a leading broadcaster of live and on-demand sports video over the Internet.
