The Baylor Bears take on the Kansas Jayhawks in their Homecoming game. The Bears are coming off a bye week after their first loss of the season two weeks ago vs West Virginia. They should be focused and hungry after having two weeks to stew on the WVU game. The WVU game was not only costly to the Bears record, but it also cost them one of their most experienced linemen in Troy Baker who tore his ACL. The Bears now have lost two linemen for the season and the replacements will need to step up if the Bears are going to have a chance at the Big 12 title.
Kansas is once again the worst team in the Big 12, and they haven't won a conference road game in five years. Look for the Bear to take out all their anger and frustration from the past couple of weeks as they take on the Jayhawks in front of a rowdy Homecoming crowd. Bryce Petty needs to bounce back after perhaps one of the worst games of his career, and the Jayhawks are the perfect opponent to do so. Kansas' defense is evidently not terrible this year but the Bears are at Home once again, and they are always deadly on offense in Waco. The Bears should score early and often, this game should not even be close.
The Bears are still very much in the hunt for the Big 12 Title, but their hope of making it into the inaugural College Football Playoff took a major hit with the loss to West Virginia. The Bears need a lot of help if they are going make it in this year, but first they need to win out if they are going to even have a chance, and the Bears drive to a Big 12 Title and perhaps the College Football Playoff starts today.
