Haughton Taking His Time

BearsIllustrated spoke with Midway 4* Safety, Kahlil Haughton, to recap his visit to Baylor on Saturday, and his in-home visit with Coach Briles and the Baylor coaching staff.

Midway (TX) HS Safety, Kahlil Haughton, is a wanted man these days. Haughton is one of the highest rated recruits still available in the 2015 recruiting class, so it's no surprise that Haughton has been entertaining coaches from the likes of Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

This past Saturday, Haughton took a visit to catch the Baylor vs Kansas State game, at McLane Stadium. Haughton has been on the campus several times, but says "I just want to get an idea of what the players go through everyday. They have a nice family atmosphere there!" Haughton says he had a great time at the game. "It was a lot of fun for sure!"

Outside of his visit to Baylor, Haughton also welcomed Coach Norwood to his home on Monday. "My in home went great! We had a lot of great conversations about a lot of things on and off the field," Haughton said. "It's just always a good opportunity to catch up and talk about everything!"

With a few more in-home visits set up this week, Haughton says that he doesn't have a date set for a decision. "As far as a decision date, I dont have anything set. I want to get through the home visits first and then sit down with my parents and talk about everything."

Needless to say, whomever lands the services of this kid, will be getting a very mature, well-mannered young man, not to mention an athletic, ball hawk at Safety. Keep it tuned to BearsIllustrated.com as we bring you the latest in Kahlil's recruitment and all things Baylor recruiting.
