BearsIllustrated.com's Ashton Warren caught up with Tren'Davion Dickson to get his thoughts on the upcoming State Championship game, as well as his TD record and Baylor's back-to-back Big 12 Championships!

Playing for a State Championship, in High School, is a prep players dream. Doing that while setting the State and National records for TD receptions makes for an extraordinary season.

This can be said for Navasota (TX) HS Junior, Tren'Davion Dickson. Dickson, a 2016 commit to Baylor University, is in the midst of a historic season, and this Friday, Dickson and Navasota can put a cap on this season by winning a State Championship against Argyle.

BearsIllustrated.com's Ashton Warren caught up with the 4* WR to get his thoughts on the upcoming State Championship game, as well as his TD record and Baylor's back-to-back Big 12 Championships!

--- Talk about this playoff run. How have you guys approached the playoffs?

Coming into the playoffs everyone had said that we haven’t played anyone in the regular season so I mean we just always have to play our game. I mean it was a tough run. We have been down in games and we haven’t been down all season. We fight through adversity. We are ready to finish it off this week on Friday.

--- You play in the state championship on Friday. What are your feelings heading to the game? And what do you know about Argyle?

I’m feeling confident. You’ve got to go in confident, focused and ready to play. You’ve got to treat it as another game because if you treat it differently you play different.

Obviously they [Argyle] are a good team. They won 31 games in a row. They play a lot of close games. They are a good matchup.

--- How do you temper your excitement for the game on Friday?

I just stay focused. I listen to whatever coach, be there for my teammates. Be a leader really.

--- At the beginning you set a goal for TD receptions. It's safe to say you shattered that goal. What are your thoughts about setting the state and national records for TD receptions?

Right now it really hasn’t sunk in, but it’s a blessing because there are a lot of great receivers and players that come through Texas and in the nation. To know I have the most TD receptions is just surreal.

--- Who or what do you credit for your success this year?

All my team, O-line, quarterback, coaches, everybody. Because without them none of this would be possible.

--- What are your thoughts on Baylor winning back-to-back Big 12 Championships?

It doesn’t get better than that. Winning those championships back to back just goes to show that Baylor has a bright future and is a great program.
