First Look: William Farrar One To Watch

In this first look, Ashton Warren caught up with 2017 Richmond (TX) Travis HS Sophomore, William Farrar, to get the latest in his recruitment, as well as his visit to Baylor earlier this season. Come inside as we take a first look at this rising prospect.

With the 2017 class still two years away from signing, it is a big deal that some prospects are already beginning to be noticed. One of those prospects being noticed is Richmond (TX) Travis HS sophomore, William Farrar.

The 6'6, 290 lb Farrar, was a starter on the offensive line this year, and burst on to the recruiting scene, garnering 23-6A All District Football Offensive Newcomer of the Year. Farrar already has an offer from Arizona State and is looking for more, after visiting Baylor and Oklahoma this season.

Farrar made it up to Waco for the Oklahoma State game and says that he had a great time. "I'd talked to the coaches there before and they just sat down and talked with me. I kind of felt wanted there. That stood out to me the most really."

The talented sophomore was able to speak to Coach Clements, and was introduced to Baylor by an outside source. "One of my trainers played at Baylor and he brought it up to me so I started getting interested," he said. "After that, everything just fell in to place. I've been talking to Coach Clements the most. The next step for me is getting an offer really. I already have a couple of offers, so I'm looking to add Baylor to that list."

While he wasn't able to take in Gameday, Farrar was watching from Oklahoma. "I didn't get to see much of college gameday because I was in Oklahoma for a visit, but I did get to watch the first quarter of the Kansas State game. Winning back-to-back Big 12 Championships shows a lot about what they are doing with the program. It shows that they have a lot of success and it's pretty cool."

So will Baylor hear back from the junior to be? "I really loved it there. I'm definitely going to be back."
