Kenan Ivy Makes 6 For The Bears!

The Bears received their 6th commitment on Tuesday night, when Lancaster (TX) HS Safety Kenan Ivy, made his pledge to the Coach Art Briles and the Baylor Bears.

The Bears received some great news, on Tuesday night, when Lancaster (TX) HS Safety Kenan Ivy, became Baylor's 6th commitment for the 2016 class.

Ivy fits the exact mold of the type of player that Coach Briles has become accustomed to recruiting. He has speed to burn, as witnessed by his 21.55 time in the 200 this year, plays aggressively and is a hard hitter. Ivy, a 3* recruit on, is a 5'10, 180 lb safety prospect and was offered at Safety. It will be interesting to see where he ends up on the defensive side of the ball, but he does fit the mold of the cover safety position.

BearsIllustrated's Ashton Warren caught up with Ivy this evening and Ivy made it clear that one of the biggest reasons he committed was because of the family atmosphere. "My family really helped me with this decision, but I loved the family atmosphere that the team and the coaches have. That was one of the big reasons I committed, the family atmosphere."

Ivy is the 6th commitment for the Bears in this class and will sign with Baylor in February of 2016. Stay with BearsIllustrated as we continue to bring you the latest on the 2016 class and beyond.
