Baylor Track and Field took home their first win of the NIKE 88th Clyde Littlefield Relays, as the Lady Bears 4x800m relay team clocked in an 8:39.25 to land the title in consecutive years.
Jessica Purtell, Raena Rhone, Maggie Montoya, and Olicia Williams (pictured above) finished the event six seconds faster than the next competitor.
Williams, the team's anchor, said after the win, "This is a good opener for me. They said my split was 2:04, 2:05. I'm happy it's just a good start. [The 4x800m] is supposed to be for us and a kind of race to work us out. It was a good outcome."
Other notable finishes include junior Jenna Pfeiffer, who finished second in the Heptathlon - 800 meters with a 2:17.26 and second in the Heptathlon - Javelin with a 129-2 [39.39m], a personal best. Pfeiffer finished eighth overall in the Heptathlon with 5,256 points, a personal best. Her finish is the ninth best in school history.
