The Frisco (TX) Lone Star HS S scored one of the highest SPARQ ratings at the camp. Compared to the Nation, Miller has the 10th highest score in the Country. This has led to some strong offers for the Junior.
Before his commitment to Baylor, Miller received his 5th offer from B1G perennial power Wisconsin. This offer was in addition to another B1G offer from Nebraska. Miller also had offers from Tulsa, Mississippi St, in addition to Baylor. So what did Baylor offer to help it stand out above the rest?
"The coaching staff is amazing! They are also a program on the rise and will not settle for anything less than a Championship. There is a reason this was my 3rd time visiting and it felt right making my decision!"
At 8 commitments, the Bears are doing a great job of balancing the class so far with 4 commitments on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. The one consistent between the commitments is their relationship with the coaching staff. That has been a big pull for these recruits and isn't any different with Miller.
"Coach Dishman is the new safeties coach and leading up to the visit we talked on the phone a lot all week." So knowing Coach Disman's pedigree, what excites Miller about his possible new position coach? "I know he has a lot of experience playing the game and I hope I can get with him and I feel like he is the man that can take me to the next level and become a better player!"
Miller becomes the second safety commit and joins Kenan Ivy, Grayland Arnold, and Raleigh Texada, as members of the defensive backfield. Miller did note that he will be keeping his options open, but he understands what Baylor brings to the table and where they are on the national scene. BearsIllustrated will continue to monitor this commitment and bring you the latest!
