Baylor landed another commitment Sunday afternoon, as 2-star defensive tackle Dequinton Osborne verbally committed to the Bears.the 6-foot, 280 pound tackle played at Kilgore College the past two seasons, amassing over 120 tackles, 30 tackles for lsos and 15 sacks in his two years. The former UCF commit, Osborne was offered by the Bears exactly one week ago.
Osborne was in Waco for an official visit this weekend, and committed to the Bears. He is the second junior college tackle to commit to Baylor, joining Jeremy Faulk who signed with the Bears in December. Both Faulk and Osborne were recently named NJCAA 1st Team All-Americans.
With the loss of Andrew Billings to the NFL, the Bears are looking at replacing all four defensvie linemen from the 2015 starting lineup. Osborne is expected to challenge for playing time immediately with senior Byron Bonds, and sophomores Andrew Morris, Ira Lewis and Faulk. Osborne is the Bears 21st commitment, and 5th along the defensive line.
