Senior Forward Taurean Prince:

On loss:

"I don't know what to say other than we didn't play well enough defensively. There's nothing about it to be happy. I'm just really disappointed but I know the team coming back is going to learn from it and be better for it."

On scuffle with teammate Rico Gathers:

"It was just being really competitive. There's nothing to it. I wanted to win. We wanted to win, and we were just competing out there."

On what went wrong:

"We just needed to play better defense. We didn't get it done."

Senior Center Rico Gathers:

On moving on and football:

"I don't know what's going to happen but I'm going to work hard and get ready to build my future and be a man and support my family. ... I'm very competitive. I like challenges. I look forward to that and what could happen at tight end and wide receiver."

On the loss:

"I'm disappointed to go out that way. We didn't play our best basketball as a team. ....The rest of the guys will be back though and even better. It's about getting back to it and learning."
