Baylor is back on the right side of the recruitment cycle. With two key commitments in recent months for the 2017 class, Baylor got back to addition Monday night, picking up the commitment of 3-star defensive tackle Jayden Peevy.
The 275 pound tackle is by far the most recent commit for the 2017 class, as no current recruit had committed after late July, 2015. A drought of over 8 months is now over. Peevy racked up 41 tackles, 9 sacks and 19 quarterback hurries last year for the Cardinals.
Peevy is the 6th commitment for the 2017 class, and is the first linemen on either side of the ball. He is the second player from Bellaire, joining 3-star safety Donovan Stiner. Peevy chose Baylor over recent offers from Texas Tech, Maryland, Houston and Tulsa among others.
