Baylor was apparently not done adding to its 2016 class.
On saturday, Baylor received a commitment from Fullerton (CA) JC LB, Thomas Cletcher. Cletcher is a 6'1, 225 lb backer that was a recent full qualifier. Cletcher will arrive at Baylor, this summer, with 4 years to play 3.
Cletcher was a standout prep player, in California, before tearing his ACL heading in to his senior year. After a couple of years rehabbing his surgically repaired knee, at Riverside College, Cletcher enrolled at Fullerton JC and flourished.
During the 2015 season, Cletcher led Fullerton with 70 tackles, 6.5 sacks and 2 TFL. Cletcher received California CCAA 1st team All-America honors and also received the title of Southern Conference MVP.
Cletcher committed to Baylor while on an official visit. He had offers from UTSA and Louisiana Tech. Cletcher brings depth to a defense that lost several starters after the 2015 season, including All-American, Andrew Billings and 2nd round NFL draft pick, Xavien Howard.
With this commitment, Baylor should now be complete with its 2016 class.
