Baylor Nation showed up today, as over 3000 fans took part in Baylor's annual Meet The Bears event.
After a closed practice, Baylor players headed over to McLane Stadium to greet fans that were waiting anxiously to show their support.
With all that has gone on this summer, it was nice to see the support from the community. Fans were able to take part in autograph sessions with the players, take pictures with players and show the players how much they were appreciated. Fans were also able to go onto the field were inflatables were waiting for the young kids, as Remember the Titans played on the video screen.
Sources close to the program said the practice was lively and players were flying around, as has become accustomed with this team. With depth issues on the OL, finding cohesiveness along the line is important and things seem to be slowly coming together. The source also said that the defense is one of the most athletic units this defensive coaching staff has ever had.
With the home opener less than a month away, the Bears will begin to turn their attention to Northwestern St. There are still unanswered questions at certain positions, but the team as whole is still very talented.
Stay tuned to BearsIllustrated as we bring you any updates we can leading up to the home opener against Northwestern St. on Friday, September 2nd, at McLane Stadium.
