Jim Grobe Will Not Return To Baylor

Baylor interim coach Jim Grobe told reporters he has no plans to return to the Bears for the 2017 season. Baylor has lost 5 in a row after starting the season 6-0. They'll finish the season Saturday against 18th-ranked West Virginia. Grobe said he plans to stay on through the team's bowl game.

Current Baylor head coach Jim Grobe informed the press that he will not be returning to coaching in 2016 and informed Baylor athletic director Mack Rhoades that he did not want to be considered for the Baylor position saying that Baylor "needs a fresh start".

Grobe is 6-5 for the Baylor Bears, but has lost the last 5-games.  The Baylor regular season finale is this Saturday at West Virginia. Coach Grobe has asked to stay on through the bowl game, but that decision has not been made.
