When it rains, it pours. Good news kept flooding Baylor fans this morning, as the 5th recruit committed to Matt Rhule and company. Henry Klinge III, an offensive lineman from Southlake, TX, verbally pledged to the Bears Sunday morning.
Klinge is the second offensive lineman to commit today, and the fifth overall in the 2017 class. After a huge senior campaign for a Southlake Carroll High School program that finished 10-2 this year, seeing their season end at the hands of eventual 6A champion DeSoto, Klinge started to get a ton of attention on the recruiting trail.
Baylor offered a few weeks ago, joined by Houston, Army, Bowling Green, and North Texas. However, he started to get more and more interest from Power-5 schools, including an offer from Virginia this past week. Texas, TCU, Mississippi State, and Arizona State had also checked in on the rising lineman.
Klinge told Steve Robertson from Gene's Page, our Mississippi State site "I am just looking for a great place where it feels like family and I can get a great education. I want to go somewhere that I feel like I can have a great relationship with all of the coaches."
