Baylor Flips Chidi Ogbonnaya from Houston

The Bears continued to build their 2017 class, as they flipped 3-star defensive end Chidi Ogbannaya from Houston.

Tuesday night, word began emerging from the Baylor coaching staff about an imminent commitment and a new member of the 2017 class.  Thursday afternoon, that recruit made it public as 3-star defensive end Chidi Ogbonnaya flipped his commitment from Houston to Baylor.

The 15th best defensive end in the state, Ogbonnaya has been committed to Houston since June 24th, 2016.  He chose the Cougars over offers from Kansas, Iowa State, UCF, and New Mexico State. At 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, Ogbonnaya has good size at defensive end.  Baylor and Kansas State both offered before Christmas.

Chidi joins Cole Maxwell and Rob Saulin as potential fits at defensive end.  With 21 commitments, the Bears are getting close to the finish line of their 2017 class with less than 1-week to go.
