With 21 commitments, how will the Bears finish out the 2017 class

The Bears have a few spots to fill. BearsIllustrated looks in to some possible names to fill the class

The Bears have been recruiting at a feverish pace and with 21 commitments and 6 days until National Signing Day, Matt Rhule and his staff are looking to fill the last few spots in this class.

The Bears will host a handful of recruits on their last official visit weekend. Several top prospects will make their way to Waco and Baylor sits very well with all of them.

With a few spots to fill, we take a look at who is on the list and who we think ends up as Bears on February 1st.

Skinny: Massive tackle, George Moore, took a visit to Baylor earlier this week and the Bears tried their hardest to make an impression. The Bears were able to make an impression but all sign seem to point the San Mateo JC product to stay in the PAC 12.

Prediction: Oregon

Skinny: Wedington is a high major prospect who could likely play early, as a freshman. The #77 prospect, on the Scout300, visited Baylor earlier this week and the Bears made a great impression on the Washington native. The Bears are battling Stanford for his commitment, but the Bears have a shot. Wedington will be announcing his decision on signing day.

Prediction: Stanford

Skinny: Henderson is on his official visit to Baylor as of this writing. Henderson is a TE prospect that the Bears are looking to develop. Henderson is currently committed to Oklahoma St. and it will take a big effort, from the Bears, to flip him. Sources have indicated that the visit is going well, but can the Bears close the deal? Time shall tell.

Prediction: Oklahoma St.

Skinny: Harris a big time target, out of Louisiana, for Baylor. The Bears have put on a full court press for the East Ascension (LA) HS product and it seems to have come down to Baylor and the home town team, LSU. Harris is scheduled to take his official visit to Baylor this weekend and if things go well, the Bears may add #22.

Prediction: Baylor

Skinny: The Bears are in a battle with B1G power Michigan State, for Lovetts services. Lovett visited the Spartans on the 13th and then visited Baylor this past weekend, with South Jersey standouts Harrison Hand and Rob Saulin, both Baylor commits. The Spartans paid a visit to Lovett earlier this week and Baylor was in to see him today. Brian Dohn spoke to Lovetts coach to update his status. This one could come down to signing day and with two kids from his area, it would be difficult to count out the Bears here.

Prediction: Baylor

Skinny: Artis was committed to Florida State but that relationship dissolved after Artis  showed some wavering. With his scholarship pulled, Artis has turned his attention to Oregon and Baylor. Baylor hosted the talented Florida prospect last week and paid a visit to him this week at his home. Oregon has been a late gainer and will get a last minute chance to impress Artis. Right now it seems Baylor is in the drivers seat but Oregon could make an impression. Artis is planning to announce his decision on signing day.

Prediction: Baylor

Skinny: This is an interesting recruitment. Miller has been committed to Colorado for a few years. The talented athlete, out of Dention (TX) HS, is planning to visit Waco this weekend. He was originally scheduled to visit Texas, but changed it to Baylor. It still remains to be seen whether or not Miller makes it to Waco, but if he does watch out. Miller will likely end up on the defensive side of the ball and the Bears do have a spot to fill at the corner position.

Predicition: Baylor

Skinny: Johnson has been a long time commitment to the Aggies, but will take a visit to Waco. Sources have indicated that the Aggies would pull the offer of Johnson if he did make it to Waco, but that remains to be seen. The Bears have been trending for Johnson and Johnson would likely have an opportunity to play early. If Johnson makes it to campus, he should be on flip watch.

Prediction: Baylor

Skinny: Brandon Thompson is a pass catching TE that the Bears think highly of. Thompson saw his recruitment pick up a lot over the past few weeks and that fueled his decommitment from Washington State. The Arkansas native recently received an offer from Florida State, which was a school that Thompson was high on, so it would see the Seminoles have the edge. Thompson is in Tallahassee until Friday and then will take his official to Baylor. Thompson is on commit watch for the Seminoles, but if he makes it Waco, the Bears will at least have a shot.

Prediction: Florida State
