Inside the Numbers

Class: 2018

School: Southlake (TX) Carroll HS

Size: 6'5", 260 lbs

Position: OT

Star Rating: 3-Star

Kimble chose the Bears over an offer from Texas Tech and interest from Duke.

In his words:

On choosing Baylor: "Baylor has been a childhood favorite of mine. I was so excited to get the offer. When I met the staff, I knew it was the place for me. They are THE most genuine people I've ever met."

On what he brings to Baylor: "I feel like I bring different intangibles to the table. I feel I have a high football IQ and athleticism. I have a lot of heart and good technique."

On OL Coach DeLeone: "He was kind of a hard man to read, but I LOVED his coaching philosophies. He's very detail oriented which is exactly how I like to be coached. That's why he's the best OL coach in the country."

As a junior in 2016, Kimble helped pave the way to a 10-2 record. He earned 5-6A First Team All-District honors.

Scout.com Evaluation

Kimble played on an accomplished and D1 heavy offensive line his junior season and he stood out. Right now he is a lean offensive tackle that will need to some add weight and mass once he arrives on the next level. He has pretty good feet and shows good balance an quickness in pass protection. He has pretty quick hands. As a run blocker, he can stay on his blocks, drive his man back, and he has shown he likes to finish off blocks. - Greg Powers, National Recruiting Analyst
