Talented 2019 DB checks in on Baylors first practice and talks his unofficial visit

Brannon Webb talks to BearsIllustrated about his recent visit to Baylor

As football practice gets going, Baylor is continuing to build for future and bringing in 2019 and 2020 recruits to continue to build relationships.

Brannon Webb, a 5'8", 165 lb corner, was one of a handful of players from powerhouse Aledo (TX) HS, to make it down to Waco this past weekend.

"The visit was spectacular, to say the least," Webb said of his visit. "Baylor definitely jumped to the top of my list."

While on the visits, recruits generally get a chance to view the facilities and go on campus, but it was the visit with the coaches, specifically his potential position coach, that stood out most.

"It was great getting to meet with Coach Fran and Coach McGuire. Coach McGuire is friends with my coach and Coach Fran is the one I'd probably talk to the most. Getting to listen to them talk for a little while was great, I'd buy into their system for sure."

While it is early in his recruitment, Webb says he is beginning to see specific interest from a few Power 5 schools besides Baylor. "Right now I'm getting interest from OU, Texas, SMU, Memphis and Oklahoma State. I definitely want  to visit OU, Texas and SMU, but I want to get out to Memphis and Oklahoma State as well."

Still, the Baylor visit was one that Webb will remember for a while. "It was great touring the facilities and the campus. The coaches said to keep in touch with them often and they would continue to build that relationship with me before they offer. They want to build a strong relationship with me and I like that. I'll definitely be back this spring."
