Colleyville (TX) Heritage’s four-star wide receiver, Kameron Brown, has been in high demand with coaches from everywhere trying to get him to visit as much as possible- one of those schools being Baylor who he says his recruitment with them is going really well.
“I’ve been talking to coach McGuire a lot and he’s trying to get my down there as much as he can which is easy since my sister is a senior there”
Not only is Brown’s sister a senior there but he’s got some other guys in Baylors corner pulling for him to join the Bears.
“I have two friends already committed to Baylor, Gavin Holmes (a 2017 commit from Northwestern high school) and Joshua Fleeks (a 2018 commit from Cedar Hill). They’ve been trying to push me to commit,” Brown laughed.
The 2019, six-foot, 165-pound athlete recently put out a top 12 with five of the schools listed being in Texas. Baylor was one of those schools along with Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, and SMU.
“Baylor is still really high up,” Brown confirmed. “I definitely still have a lot of interest in them.”
When asked what peaked his interest in the school, his answer wasn’t all about football.
“It’s a place where if I did choose to go there I’d be getting great coaching and great academics from close to home,” Brown said. I wouldn’t have to go far to find that.”
Brown will start his junior season this fall.
“This spring I’ll be working a lot on routs, catching contested passes and getting faster and strong,” Brown said. “The Baylor coaching staff just wants me to go out there this fall, be consistent, and have another great season.”
Brown told me that he wasn’t sure whether or not he’d be visiting for the Baylor spring game this weekend, but if not he’d definitely be visiting again soon.
