Baylor Says They Will Offer

Linebacker recruit Ben Hixon had an in-home visit by Baylor assistant and safeties coach Larry Hoeffer. Ben was told by Coach Hoeffer that an offer would be forthcoming and is anticipating receiving it in the mail.

"I was pretty excited, but they haven't given me an official offer yet, " Hixson said. "They said they were going to send me one and that it would take a few days. I believe they'll send it though. They were telling me a lot of things about their program, acted like they really wanted me and answered all of my questions. I'm very interested in them."

Ben Hixon doesn't have a lot of time to worry about waiting however as his Southlake Carroll Dragons are preparing to meet the Allen Eagles in a State 5-A Semi-finals game at Texas Stadium on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 pm. During that game Hixon most likely will come across another Baylor commitment, 6-3, 185-pound Nate Cook, a wide receiver for the Eagles. Baylor will be on neither's mind at the time.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State, Tulane, and South Florida are heavily pursuing the middle linebacker who already has over a ridiculous 200 tackles, with a dozen tackles for loss, 4-5 sacks, 4-5 PBUs, 1 INT, 3 forced fumbles and 5 fumble recoveries. And, he's not done yet with at least one, possibly two more games to go.
