Game 1 of the Fall World Series goes to the Green

Jared Theodorakos pitched 5 innings of 1-hit ball to get the win in Game One of the Fall Championship Series for the Green team. The Green team leads 1-0 in the best-of-seven series. As a side note, the Green-Gold Game that was schedule for this past Saturday night was cancelled.

Theo was helped with two runs in the third inning. The first run scored on a single by Brandon Luce. After Ross Bennett walked, Eric Errante doubled him in. The Green team scored their third run in the sixth inning when Paul Richmond hit a single between first and second base. After the run scored, Richmond was caught trying to stretch it to a double.

The Gold team's biggest threat came in the ninth inning, when they loaded the bases with one out against freshman Michael Griffin. Zach Dillon scored on a sacrifice fly by Tim Hartshorn. The game ended with David Murphy lining out to third base.
