Bears Continue Struggles

Last night was not the night the Baylor Bears put it all together. In playing only its fifth game of the season, the Bears ran into a vibrant Oklahoma team who handed them an 82-52 loss. The Sooners shot 50% from the floor and had 4 players score in double figures.

The Bears meanwhile continued their shooting woes shooting only 29% for the game. Freshman Mamadou Diene and Henry Dugat, both of whom have shown signs of their future ability, failed to score any points only putting up 5 shots between them. Junior Pat Fields again led the way for the Bears with 14 points. With a team full of players still trying to define their role in this young season, Fields seems ready to take over. Although sophomore guard Aaron Bruce did get to double-digits with 10 points, he shot only 2 for 13 from the floor as he seemed to force several shots throughout the night. The Bears will have their next opportunity to get on track this Saturday at A&M.
