Jeremy Michel, offensive lineman from Manatee High School in Bradenton, Florida was 1st team All-Area, 1st team All-District, and 2nd team All-State. Come Wednesday, February 1st, Michel is planning on signing his letter of intent to play football at Baylor University.

Over 6'5" and weighing in at around 285, Michel feels that his senior season at Manatee went well.

"We had a good season. We won district. Went on to the semi-finals but lost to the number 7 ranked team in the nation, who eventually lost in the championship game."

Michel reports offers from Louisville, Cincinatti, and Vanderbilt just to name a few, but chose Baylor University.

"I really liked the Head Coach, Coach Morriss. He's a great guy. He's made progress. Baylor also has a good pre-med program, and is one of the better education colleges out there. I also like hunting and fishing and they have that too."

Named Captain of the Florida North-South All-Star Game, Michel humbly spoke about his abilities on the field.

When asked what the strongest part of his game was, Michel responded, "My quick feet, pass blocking, but being big and quick is an advantage."

Michel enjoyed his visit to Baylor's campus noting, "It was great, I love the people. It is a beautiful campus."

"I am anxious to get over there."
