Future Lady Bear: Danielle Wilson

Uconn, Duke, Maryland, Notre Dame, Virginia, and Temple all offered her. The experts thought that she would stay out on the East Coast. Little did anyone know that the 6-3 post out of New York would sign her letter of intent with Kim Mulkey-Robertson's Baylor Lady Bears. Read more in THEE DEN.

St. John Baptist Diocesan post Danielle Wilson was one of the most highly recruited prep women's basketball players in the country. Standing 6-3, Wilson possesses a scoring and rebounding ability that most collegiate coaches desire. As a junor, Wilson averaged 21.1 points, 14.4 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 3.2 steals. As for leaping ability, Wilson was named All-League volleyball in 2003, 2004, and 2005.

The future Lady Bear was named Honorable Mention fo Street & Smith's All-America in both 2004 and 2005. She also was a 2005 Adidas Top 10 Camp All-Star, participated in the USA Youth Development Festival and was a member of the U.S. Select Team.

A 4-Star recruit, Danielle Wilson will surely add to the already talented group at Baylor, and will no doubt be an asset to the Lady Bears in the years to come.
