It's Official: Demond Carter a McD's AA

Baylor Bear fans knew they had a special talent when Demond "Tweety" Carter committed to play for Coach Scott Drew's program some time ago. Now that has been affirmed by the rest of the country as Tweety was selected to play in the McDonald's All American game.

A selection committee of prominent high school coaches, prep scouts and media from across the country choose the nation's top graduating high school boys and girls basketball players from a pool of approximately 2,500 seniors. Bear fans were glad to know that one of their very own, Demond Carter, was selected for the roster.

Tweety, who was recently featured on the front page of the USA Today sports section, is the first McDonald's All American for Baylor basketball. The game will be played Wednesday, March 29, at 7:00 (PST) live on ESPN.

Lady Bear recruit Danielle Wilson was selected to play in the girls game, which will be played just before the men's game at 4:30 (PST). Wilson also represents the first Baylor women's McDonald's All American player.
