Bears Hand Out Offers

Baylor football coaches have kept busy the last few weeks, evaluating recruits, and handing out offers. takes a look at some of what's been happening.

Brownsboro, Texas offensive lineman Lonnie Edwards, has been on the Bears radar for quite some time. Scout's Jeremy Patterson caught up with him for an update.

"I have offers from Baylor, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Arizona, Kansas and Purdue," Edwards said. "Right now Oklahoma State and Baylor are my top two, everyone else is kind of chasing them right now."

"We went to the Baylor spring game last week and had a pretty good time over there," Edwards said. "This weekend we are going up to Oklahoma State for their spring game."

Compton (Calif.) running back Anthony Wright (6-0, 190), pictured above, spoke with Scout's Brandon Huffman recently: "I got my first offer from Baylor," said Wright. You can follow his progress as he will be performing at the combine in May.

Jeremy Patterson also caught up with Friendswood linebacker Bo Mosley, who was unable to suit up last year because of injury. That has not stopped schools from pursuing him though, as he currently holds an offer from Houston, and has several other schools watching closely.

"We have been to Texas A&M, Baylor and Houston so far this spring and I would still like to get to TCU," Mosley told Patterson. "Right now Baylor, Houston, Texas A&M, TCU and Texas are my favorites. I would really like to stay in Texas, at least that's my thinking right now."

We will of course keep you informed as these kids get closer to making decisions about where they want to play college football.
