Big 12 Recruiting Analyst Talks BU Recruiting

Big 12 Football Recruiting Analyst, Jeremy Patterson, stops by to answer some of the questions you had about Baylor's top targets, and who is close to committing. Read about it only inside!!

QUESTION:

With all the talent you have seen at combines, and after Baylor having its Junior Day, who do you think are some of the guys that Baylor fans should be looking for as far as a commitment is concerned? ANSWER:

I would say to look out for Andre Richardson, he's really liked Baylor for a while and could commit anyday. All of the Corsicana kids seem to like the Bears a good bit and Courtney Green plans to commit in May at this point. GJ Kinne is a slam dunk for the Bears , but he may wait a while to make his decision.

QUESTION:

Baylor has seemed to offer several people on the west coast. Do they have a strong relationship with the coaches out there and does the David Gettis signing really help?

ANSWER:

Well I think that any time you have success with a big time prospect in an area, you want to try and duplicate that. The Bears bread and butter is still in the Lone Star State, but if they could steal a couple of guys a year from the West Coast it could add a different dimension to the program.

QUESTION:

Who are the top 3 prospects that BU is in on and has a good shot at getting?

ANSWER:

I think GJ Kinne is a lock for the Bears, its more of question of when he will commit as opposed to if. Lonnie Edwards is one of the better lineman in Texas and the Bears have been one of his top schools from day one, he feels extremely comfortable at Baylor. Courtney Green is another tremendous offensive lineman that wants to make an early decision and Baylor has a good shot here. It's only about 45 minutes from Corsicana and the Bears were in on him early.
