As a junior, Rex McDougald racked up an astounding 201 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, four sacks and two interceptions. He was an all-state selection as a junior. He was also an all-district selection as a sophomore and junior. Today, he made his pledge to play football at Baylor University.

They call him "R-Mac", and he stands over 6-2 and currently weighs in at 305. So what is it about Baylor that made McDougald decide to commit?

"They got a really nice weightroom and really nice facilities. The only thing they don't have really is an indoor practice field. They are really close to where I am. They are about an hour away. I was going to try and not go out of state."

He caught the attention of the Baylor coaching staff, especially Coach Kinne.

"I'll be a defensive tackle or interior lineman. I liked Coach Kinne a lot. He was one of the reasons I committed."

"No other schools have offered me yet, but A&M and Oklahoma State were maybe going to offer me."
