VIDEO:Joshua Gaines Shows His Skills

He has the ability to break through the line, outrun defensive backs, and take it to the endzone. His powerful body coupled with his quick feet make Joshua Gaines a highly sought after prospect both as a running back and a linebacker. Baylor is one of the schools he is considering, so take a look at his amazing videos inside to see for yourself what he can do only at BEARSILLUSTRATED.COM!!

He dazzled the scouts at the Scout.com combine in Waco, Texas. His 4.56/40 speed impressed the onlookers. He stands 6'2" and weighs in just over 200 pounds.

Getting a live look of Gaines is something I was able to do at the combine. His coverage ability as a linebacker makes it obvious that he has what it takes to play other positions at the next level. He played fullback and linebacker for his Pflugerville (Texas) Hendrickson High School team and projects to be a linebacker on the next level.

As a junior he collected 117 tackles, forced three fumbles and posted two sacks. He also plays fullback where he carried the ball 53 times for 704 yards and seven touchdowns.

"I am going to play outside linebacker or safety on the next level. Either of those is cool with me, I like playing them both. I want to make sure that I go to a school with a good defensive coordinator and a place where I fit in with their style."

Gaines admits that Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and Maryland are his favorites with Oklahoma State as his "heavy favorite". Although he holds offers from Oklahoma State and Baylor; Michigan and Nebraska are schools he is hearing from.

With a Baylor offer in hand, Gaines also says that, "I'm not really in any kind of hurry or anything right now."

"I want to have a chance to check out these schools before I go committing anywhere. I will probably take some of my official visits and then commit after that sometime."
