Play Ball: Baylor Takes on Arizona State

The Baylor Bears are in the NCAA Tournament again, but this time they don't have the luxury of playing at home during the post-season. Coach Steve Smith's team will play the #16 team in the nation when they face Arizona State in Houston on Friday.

The Baylor Bears are the #3 seed and will face the #2 seed Arizona State Sun Devils at 8:00 cst at Reckling Park in Houston, Texas. The Bears come into the contest with a record of 35-24 (13-14) good for a tie for fifth place in the Big 12.

Pat Murphy's ASU squad comes into the tournament after finishing 2nd in the Pac-10 conference. ASU finished with a record of 36-19 (14-10) including series win over the Bears in Waco earlier this year.

The Bears hope to continue to get good defensive play and timely hitting, two traits that carried them on their way to Omaha last season.
