When asked if he could give us a quick update on how his recruitment was going, Stacey Williams, a wide receiver from Yates High School in Houston told BearsIllustrated.com that he "committed to Baylor this morning."
Williams, 6-0 170 and runs a 4.5/40, describes himself as a complete receiver, "the whole package" as he puts it. With a combination of speed and hands, Williams was attracted to the new offense Baylor is putting in this fall. Williams currently held offers from UTEP and Louisiana Lafeyette.
The offense wasn't Baylor's only attraction though. Williams liked Baylor's continued academic success of its athletes and its Big 12 conference #1 graduation rate. He noted the recent graduates and commented "I'm all about my books."
Williams plans to visit Baylor later this month, and BearsIllustrated.com will keep you updated on him as he takes the field this fall for his senior season.
