Baylor vs. TCU: Nationally Televised Sept.3rd

The matchup is a rivalry game that hasn't been played since 1995. Baylor won that game 27-24 and holds a 49-47-7 series edge over TCU. The game pits two former Southwest Conference teams against each other. Fox Sports will nationally televise the game as it has been moved to Sunday, September 3rd. Kickoff time has not been determined at the time of this publication.

The last time TCU and Baylor met was in the SWC. Baylor was victorious over TCU in a 27-24 Homecoming matchup in 1995 at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco, Texas. That was then; this is now.

The game will be televised nationally on FSN, and carries with it plenty of emotion. Baylor head coach, Guy Morriss, was a star offensive lineman for TCU during his collegiate career. Now, he will lead his team onto the field to bang heads with his alma mater.

Additionally, the game will feature two former conference foes, who now play in completely different conferences. TCU plays in the Mountain West Conference, and they are the defending conference champions. Baylor joined the Big 12 after the SWC dissolved, and have enjoyed steady improvement under Head Coach Guy Morriss.

It will be interesting to see what the outcome of this very important game might be. Whatever it is, the nation will be watching.
