Cedar Hill DB Has Offers Rolling In

Cedar Hill is loaded with talent, and is primed to make a strong run this season. One defensive back impressed everyone at the Scout.com combine. With offers rolling in, we caught up with him to see where Baylor stands among his offers, and what his future plans are.

ANTHONY BLUE 5/9 161 4.56/40

BearsIllustrated.com caught up with Cedar Hill cornerback Anthony Blue to get the latest on his recruitment. Here are the highlights of the interview:

"The Scout combine was pretty good. It was also fun. I think I did pretty good in one-on-ones."

Blue explains that he currently holds offers from Baylor, Houston, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Purdue, and San Diego State.

Recently Blue's friend and teammate, Romie Blaylock, pledged to Baylor, Blue talked a bit about that.

"I'm real close to Romie, and he was talking about going to the same college, but it is going to come down to whichever one best fits me."

So what is it that Anthony Blue is looking for in a university?

"Education and playing early. Playing my freshman year."

The track star also ran a 4.56 at the combine. Although his speed captured the attention of most recruiting analysts Anthony Blue was not satisfied.

"I know I can do better than that."

Coach McGriff from Baylor is recruiting the Cedar Hill High School athletes, and Anthony talked about the Baylor coach.

"He's always real with you. He will tell you the truth, you know. He answers your questions whenever you ask."

Jonathan Linder of BadgerNation.com reports that Blue would also like to compete in track in college. Blue said he ran a personal-best 21.48-second 200 meters this spring for Cedar Hill's track team and he placed eighth in the event at the state championships.

Jonathan Linder also reports that Blue's unofficial summer plans include trips to see Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Baylor, among others.
