Louisiana DT Talks With BearsIllustrated.com

Agility and speed are always important attributes for a football player to have. When it comes in the form of a 6-2 290 pound defensive tackle it's even better. BearsIllustrated.com caught up with a talented defensive lineman out of Louisiana. See what he has to say about Baylor only inside.

When he is not playing keyboard, singing, or playing any of the other musical instruments he enjoys playing, John Williams is delivering bone-crushing tackles to opposing players. John Williams is a 6-2 290 pound defensive tackle out of Independence, Louisiana. He currently holds offers from ULM, Northwestern, and Ole Miss. While he doesn't currently hold a Baylor offer, he talks about the Bears.

"I was going to come for a visit to one of the camps, but I didn't make it. Something came up and I couldn't get there. Baylor is a place my dad really likes. I have family that lives there. Waco is a perfect place, it is very nice. I do plan on visiting the campus."

Williams mentions that out of all the schools he has visted most of them have been in the SEC. The talented defensive lineman has no favorites at this point in his recruitment process.

Being recruited primarily as a defensive tackle, Williams will play a small role on the offensive side of the ball next year as a tight end. Williams describes his abilities:

"I am always playing hard. I am quick for my size. I am getting stronger and faster right now."

With a visit to Baylor planned, BearsIllustrated.com will keep you up to date on John Williams.
