G.J. Kinne keeps piling them on. Honor after honor, award after award. Most recently G.J. Kinne was on the cover of Texas Football which featured the Lone Star State's top quarterbacks.

"It was a great honor. It was great to be with all of those guys."

Making the transition to a different high school is difficult for a lot of students. However, like most things, Kinne is handling it well.

"It's going well. I am working out everyday. I am going to Waco for the next two weeks to spend time with my dad. I will be working out while I am there."

The highly recruited quarterback has narrowed his list to 2 schools. Baylor and Florida are leading the way for Kinne's services, and Kinne is making sure that he takes the time needed to make the best decision.

"Both have great offenses. They both run the offense that I want to play in."

Kinne realizes that each school has distinct advantages.

"Baylor, with my dad being there, and Coach Phillips and Coach Hays, I like it alot. Baylor is rising to the top. They will be Big 12 contenders next year."

"Florida has a great offense and a great coaching staff. They are known for their winning."

Kinne discusses the issue of playing time.

"At Baylor, if I go there, I will enroll in January, and I will fight for the starting job. I will do whatever is best for my team. I kind of want to redshirt at Baylor, but if I am the best guy, I want to help the team anyway I can."

"At Florida, I definitely want to redshirt. I want to compete there for the job. I want to compete wherever I go."

G.J. Kinne has definitely received plenty of attention, and with that comes the spotlight. The talented quarterback takes it in stride, and handles himself like he does in the pocket: calm, cool, and collected.

"I don't get tired of the phone calls or anything. I just kind of go through it. I just try to work as hard as I can."

A verbal commitment is not too far away, Kinne explains.

"I definitely want to go down to Florida again. They have their Friday Night Lights on July 21st. After I go, I think I will have a decision. It will probably be around August 1st."

Stay tuned to for continued coverage of G.J. Kinne and all of Baylor's recruiting updates.
