Douglass: Commits to Baylor

With the recruiting success the Baylor Bears have had so far, it is no secret that another highly ranked prospect has made the call. Recently, we caught up with Leander High School's star defensive end, and Baylor Bear commit #21, to get the latest. Come inside to see what he has to say only at BearsIllustrated.com

*UPDATE: Ryan Douglass made the call late tonight. He commited to the Bears, and makes it commit #21.*

Ryan Douglass is a 6-3 220 defensive end out of Leander, Texas. BearsIllustrated.com caught up with Douglass to get the latest on his recruitment.

"It's been going pretty good. I have been getting a lot of interest from some pretty big schools. But, I think I am going to make my decision within the next week. I am going to go with Baylor."

"I have been talking to my mom and coaches about it, and we feel that it is the best way to go."

Douglass previously mentioned that Texas A&M held the slight edge over offers from Baylor and Missouri; things have obviously changed.

"Baylor is close to home and I like the coaches when I met them for the mini-camp. My mom likes the school, and it is a good academic school."

"I have been talking to my mom, and I will make the call this week actually. I am about 90% sure."

The list of Baylor's commitments has not gone unnoticed, as Douglass expressed that he has followed Baylor's recruiting class.

"Well, I have seen a bunch of people that I always see at camp. It seems Baylor has got a pretty good recruiting class for the class of '07."
