Where Does He Stand?

His team stands at 4-0 with a tough game against Allen on Friday. He was once Baylor's 15th commitment of the year. BearsIllustrated.com caught up with the talented prep star to get the latest on where he stands.

Justin Johnson is definitely a leader on his Richardson Berkner football team. The 6-1 210 pound athlete has helped his team to an impressive start.

"Our season is going good so far. We started out 4-0, and 1-0 in district so far. Our offense is rolling, and our defense is playing real good."

The Berkner Rams play Allen this Friday, and Justin Johnson is already preparing for the game.

"You know, they can move the ball. They got a good quarterback in Nathan Dick. They can keep the ball and move the ball. We plan to move the ball efficiently, keep our offense on the field, and try to get a 'W'".

Johnson gave his verbal pledge to play for the Baylor Bears earlier this year, and Johnson talks about where he stands now.

"I've been down there [Baylor] a couple of times. The most recent time I went down there is when they played Army. I always enjoy going down there."

Johnson expresses that the rocky start to Baylor's season hasn't affected his decision.

"As far as I see it, they are playing tough, and they are just coming up short. A couple of things here and there and they might be 4-0. I am sure they will get it straightened out and look to move forward in conference. The defense is playing really good right now. Once the offense gets rolling, I am sure they will be alright." Is Johnson planning on taking official visits to any other school?

"No. None." The versatile player can play almost anywhere on the field and he gives his thoughts on where he might end up playing on the next level. "In the range from anywhere to running back, to strong safety to free safety to linebacker."
