Elliot Coffey Commits To Baylor

He stands 6-0 195, and he just finished his prep career after starting at cornerback and safety for his Sugarland Clements High School football team. His name is Elliot Coffey, and he is the newest prep athlete to commit to the Baylor Bears.

Elliot Coffey is a 6-0 195 pound defensive back who has offers from programs such as UTEP, Houston, and Baylor among others. BearsIllustrated.com caught up with Coffey after his visit to see how things went.

"The visit was great. Everyone was very welcoming. My host was Dwain Crawford."

For Coffey, it was the first time he had seen the Baylor University campus, and he came away impressed.

"The campus was amazing. I didn't know what to expect. It was great."

Elliot Coffey has now made his decision final, after taking a trip to UCF this past weekend. His visit to Baylor allowed Coffey the chance to visit with several of the Baylor coaches.

"I got to talk with Coach Morriss, Coach Bradley, and Coach Hoeffer. The thing that stood out was that the players were really close. These guys will be your family for the next four or five years, and your friends for who knows how long after that."
