He has one State Championship under his belt. Soon, Chris Francis, a star linebacker at Cedar Hill High School, will take his official visit to Baylor University. Francis has already given his pledge to play for Guy Morriss and the Baylor Bears, and will head to Waco on his official visit this coming weekend with a couple of teammates from the State Championship team.

"This weekend me, Romie (Blaylock), and John (Jones) are taking our official visit. It will be pretty fun to go to Baylor with them. I have been around them for 4 years. Me and Romie have talked about rooming together."

Coach Joey McGuire has called the honored linebacker "velcro" due to his tackling ability, and has referred to his stature as that of a "Greek God". Francis reports a 325 pench press, a 585 squat, and a 580 dead lift.

Don't expect any last minute signing day surprises from Francis. The linebacker made it clear that a commitment means just that.

"I am 100% solid to Baylor. It is the right place for me, it is close to home, it is in the Big 12. All of those factors play a part my decision."
