"I'm A Baylor Bear Now"

Commanding the room, Art Briles spoke about what he expected as he takes over the reigns as Baylor's new head football coach in his press conference.

Art Briles demonstrated a lot at his press conference introducing him as the Baylor Bears head football coach. The ability to communicate effectively and command the room were just some of the little things that most in attendance realized about the Baylor head coach.

Art Briles will not coach Houston's bowl game stating, "I'm a Baylor Bear now." At it could not be more true. Briles expects to be in his new Baylor office today, hitting the road running, and utililzing a plan for success to win football games at Baylor.

Players reactions to the hire were positive. Current offensive lineman Dan Gay expressed that Art Briles' meeting with the Baylor team got the players fired up.

"I can say that Art Briles is the right man for this job," Gay said.

Briles knows that talking about winning is not enough, and that understanding how to win is key.

"Winning football games is our mission. That's our goal and it's our job."

Briles will be announcing his assistant coaches at a later time, but when it comes to recruiting Briles stated that "nobody has signed a letter of intent yet."
