Bears Get Quick Commitment

At 6-5 260, the Baylor Bears coaching staff spotted a standout at one of their camps. After offering him a scholarship, the Bears were rewarded with a commitment. Come in to see who it is, what he has to say about the program, and whether he will be taking any other visits.

"I was really excited."

Those are the words of Baylor's newest football commitment, Kelvin Palmer, after he was offered a scholarship to play football for Baylor University.

The 6-5 26- strongside defensive end said he performed well at Baylor's mini-camp, and that the coaches liked what they saw out of him.

"They liked my my quickness, they liked my handwork, and they liked my footwork. They told me that I had potential."

Palmer expresses that Coach Babers and Coach Achuff, both on Baylor's football staff, spotted him.

"They made me feel at home. They are good coaches, it was a good environment, and they are going to be a pretty good team in the future."

Shortly after receiving the offer from Baylor, Palmer decided to give Baylor a verbal commitment.

Palmer tells that he is "quick, comes off the ball fast."

Additionally, Palmer explains that he is good at keying plays.

"I have good footwork, I make good use out of my hands, and I can react to the play. I am good at reacting to where they will be, and not where they are now."

The Baylor Bears have now added to their commitment list with the addition of Kelvin Palmer.
