Baylor Cruises Past Washington State; 45-17

The Baylor Bears scored early and often, and Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin set a Baylor record in the Bears 45-17 victory over the Washington State Cougars.

The Baylor Bears looked like they were putting on a clinic on how to rush the football in their victory over the Washington State Cougars on Friday night. The Bears won the their third game of the season in convincing fashion rushing for 426 yards on the evening.

Robert Griffin set a school record for most yards rushed in a single game with 217 on 11 carries for a 19.7 yard per carry average. Griffin scored twice on the ground, and the freshman quarterback accounted for 129 yards through the air on 7-15 passing with a score. Baylor running back Jay Finley had another big gamerushing for 119 yards on 10 carries scoringone touchdown on the evening.

The Baylor defense caused 5 turnovers against Washington State, while the Baylor offense did not turn the ball over.

The Baylor Bears (2-1) now ride a two game winning streak into next week's nationally televised game at University of Connecticut.
